Jennifer was born in Houston, Texas. Jennifer attended the University of Dallas on a full-tuition academic scholarship and wrote a 60-page history thesis to receive her B.A. in History in 2003. She received her J.D. from Texas Wesleyan School of Law in 2007. Jennifer interned with the Dallas County District Attorney's office in the summer of 2005. She also interned with the Hon. Paul Stickney, United States Magistrate Judge, in the Dallas Division of the Northern District of Texas, in the summer of 2006, where she wrote an opinion in a social security case that was adopted by the judge. Jennifer is a member of the State Bar of Texas.

Jennifer joined the firm in 2008, after having worked at the firm during her third year of law school. She works in the areas of zoning and land use, litigation, code enforcement, general municipal law, and municipal prosecution. She is a member of Amnesty International and has been a Lancaster Outreach Center volunteer since 1998. Jennifer is a past volunteer for the Court Partnership Program (in conjunction with Genesis Women's Shelter) in the Dallas County Criminal Courts, where she observed courtroom proceedings, recorded statistics, and trained other volunteers. She is also a past volunteer for Our Children's Store and St. Francis of Assisi parish.
