Kaitlen Cerney earned her undergraduate degree in 2021 from Loyola University Chicago, where she majored in Art History and Political Science. She received her J.D. in 2025 from SMU Dedman School of Law.

While in law school, Kaitlen discovered her passion for municipal law and gained hands-on experience as a law clerk with Boyle & Lowry, LLP. She joined the firm as an associate attorney in August 2025, where she continues to focus her practice on representing municipalities in a wide range of legal matters.

A Dallas native, Kaitlen is dedicated to supporting Texas cities as they navigate complex legal challenges and plan for growth.

Outside of her legal practice, Kaitlen is a Level Two WSET-certified sommelier and enjoys exploring the world through travel—collecting stamps in her passport along the way.
